Dancing Autism Curious Cards (5 cards)

$7.50

The Curious Card is a small, gentle note designed to ease overwhelm, anxiety, or judgment. Keep it close—at family gatherings, with friends, or out in public—hand it to someone and then return your attention to your child. People who read it often soften and respond with more kindness. It fits easily into wallets, purses, pockets, and bags. A quiet companion to help bring a bit more calm and confidence. You are awesome.

The Card details:

Hi

You have noticed that our child is different. Our child has Autism, he/she may be very loud at times, or seem shy; or doesn’t communicate as well as he/she should. In saying this, our child is very happy, caring, sensitive and loves playing and learning with his/her friends.

Autism is a neurological disability, which means that parts of our child’s brain work well and other parts do not. However, with love, therapy, a great diet and lots of hugs and kisses, our child is improving everyday.

I thank you for your time, have a great day.

I invented this curious card so that I would never feel judged when my ASD son would have a meltdown (what I call a conversation break-down) or become very vocal in a public space. Being looked upon with judging eyes made me feel like the worst Mother ever and I no longer wanted to feel that way. Once I handed the card out, things changed for me. I no longer felt overwhelmed, anxious or judged. The fact is I stated to feel like I belonged and so did my ASD child. The amount of hugs I received once people read this card made me feel so loved. This Curious Card save me and I hope it does the same for you.
